The closest airport is FORTALEZA (Ceara main city) so wherever you are coming from you have to land in FORTALEZA.
Your best option from Europe is to fly with TAP PORTUGAL
If you come from Italy, you also have the option to chose MERIDIANA
If you come from Germany you can also look at CONDOR
From the USA , direct flights are now existing in between Miami and Fortaleza : TAM
